can some tell me more details about this chiller,,if it really works,,,,its frm nanocustoms....was thinking of getiing it for my jbj nano 24.....thank you
I bought a ICA from them (the 1.0 version) i think its a pile of garbage in my opinion. By the time the water goes through the "tube" and comes out..its back to the original temperture. If you want to cool your tank, a small fan can cool the water three times as fast and efficiently. In conclusion, I stopped using my ICA and decided to put a small fan and it did the job fast.

Don't know about the chiller in question, but adding a fan right in the face of the tank works wonders......you will double your evaporation though, so keep that in mind./

110? geeez....I live in Los Angeles and yes it has been pretty hot. I'm guessing you dont have A/C? And I'm also guessing that your tank is in a little room ? That can raise your tank tempertures easily.Good luck
yes in a litle room and yes no a/c,,,had a/c,,,,but now the weatehr here seems to be coling down,,,for a while!!!!oy yeah im also setting up a gallon!!!very exited
sorry about bringing an old post back to life.
i'm running a jbj 24g, still in cycling and almost done, but the first week my tank temp was at around 82-86. I needed a chiller and didn;t want to spend the 350+ so i went with the ica 2.0 with the upgraded power source and fan and couldn't be happier. I modded my hood a little also, adding a 2 80mm fans, one to replace the stock one and moved it over next to the other stock fan to take out the heat off the lights and another on a switch running off a 12v 300mah power supply blowing into the tank. In the second stock fan position i placed the ica. running just the ica my temps dropped from 84-86 during the day to around 74 (ALOT more than they said it would) and at night it blow under 74 with the fan i have blowing on the water + the ica.
Anyways. Keeping it at 78 atm constant with the heater and just the ica which is a huge difference from having it go from 82 to 86 throughout the day.

I think your fans helped to bring yoru temp. down more then the ICA did. I dont know how good the ICA 2.0 version is,but all I know is that I wouldnt recommend the ICA 1.0 to anyone. It never brought my tempertures down. I had to use a fan along with it.
