Ice Cap 660 ballast

thanks for the reply, I had bought some at radio shack and it keept blowing them. I found out water had gotten into my balast, so I will be sending it out to ice cap

Damn! Water got into your ballast? I don't know too much about ballasts, but that doesn't sound too healthy.

No its not. its also expensive, hopefuly they can fix it. that will ony cost me 85.00 if not i have to buy a new one

I think IC only charges 65 for the repair...I have yet to break anything so badly they couldn't fix it...I wouldn't sweat it.

two day shipping is 15.00 bucks. I called champion lighting to find out if there was anything i could do to fix it my self when it happend and he was telling me just to buy another one because they wouldnt be able to fix it. When i talked to ice cap they gave me a different story. so off it goes to get fixed. I hope my tank will be okay going from 520 watts to 80
