Ice cap ballast?????

I acquired an icecap ballast. It is blue and has a silver heatsink. It came with a solar something or another that I guess dims the light instead of instant on instant off. It is the setup for 4 bulbs it says on the ballast it's self. I only have a 30 gallon tank and the lighting in there appears to be ample enough. I was just wondering what I could do with it. Does it have any value? It looks to be in great shape, and is already wired. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

How did you acquire it? Yes, I'd say it has value. You may want to hold on to it for future use or try to sell it.
I'd suggest you visit some of the sites that sells Icecap to see what the market price for it is but I'm guessing around $200.

I would like to sell it. I don't plan on doing a bigger tank for a very long time (when I have a new house) so it will just sit there. It was given to me by my parents from when they were doing a saltwater tank.

If you would like to sell just the dimmer, let me know(the ballast will work fine without it). I live in Eugene too. I would be happy to buy it, or trade livestock, or I have lots of extra eqipment laying around to trade.
