Icecap Ballast Help

I have 3 250 watt ice cap ballast on my 240 gallon. I am having a problem with one of the lights. I have emailed icecap and they have yet to email me back and was hoping someone could help me. I have had the ballast for over a year now and this one light has started doing this. The light will cut on fine but after about five minutes it shuts off and then after it cools down it will start back up, run for about five minutes then cut back off again. It will do this all day long until my timer shuts all the lights down. They are all three hooked to the same outlet and timer if that has anything to do with it. thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like a bad bulb.
Can you swap bulbs with one of the other ballasts to see if it's the ballast or the bulb?
In my experience IceCap has fantastic customer service.

Agreed... if it were a wiring fault it would shut itself down almost instantly.
The other possibility is that it's the ballast.
Do as Bang suggests. If the problem still occurs, try swapping the ballasts with one of the others. That should be easy since Icecaps have those quick disconnect harnesses.
You may also try calling Icecap. Andy is the guy to talk to over there.

thanks for the responses, i switched the bulbs and that seemed to work, for some reason that bulb was not seating properly i guess, i dont think it was going as far down as it should have. the other light bulb that i switched it with went a whole lot further and the other bulb went in better with the other fixture. all is good for now, thanks a lot
