icecap ballast help

ok, got a ballast super cheap from a friend. The wires were snipped off about three inches from the plug. I plan on rewiring it. However, never seeing an actual working ballast, I was curious exactly how everyone wires the plug-ins. Do you just buy a pig tail from a local hardware store or what. Whatever input would be much appreciated.

I would suggest you buy a new wiring harness from IceCap inc. You could wire it yourself but that's a lot of effort IMO.

As far as the plug, you can buy a three wire(grounded)cord at most hardware stores. You may have a hard time finding the wire that matches the factory wires going to the bulbs. Lucky for me a LFS I deal with has spools and spools of it and sent it to me priority mail(after I looked EVERYEHERE else in the state). Make sure the connections are water tight, and you'll be fine.
I just realized you're in Oregon too, Call Seahorse aquarium in Portland, Woody has all that stuff and will ship it. Raw materials or pre-wired harnesses.
