icecap question

Just wondering if I can get your thoughts and opinions. I'm thinkin bout purchasin a 5yr old Icecap 660 w/ 8 endcaps from a local seller. It has been repaired once. Hes selling it for $150. Do you think its worth purchasin? Give me ur thoughts, would be greatly appreciated!

6 yrs old is really old IMO. i am selling one that is 6 months old for 200 shipped plus you can not run 8 bulbs on one ballast well ur not supposed to anyways 4 is the max just to let you know

8 end caps are for 4 bulbs -- 2 end caps per bulb. I also think it's a little high for used equipment including the end caps.

I think $150 is high to for a used unit. I bought a 2 yr old ice cap 660 ballast w/ 4 sets of endcaps and new harness from a board member here a few months back and paid $95 shipped. I thought that was fair. If you can talk him down, i wouldn't pay more than $75 if i were you. You can get a new ballast alone for $150, plus end caps and harness for an additional $60 or so, thats brand new with a 2 yr factory warentee.
