I have a 75 gallon salt water tank. It's been running for 2 months, and i've been using live sand. A few weeks ago i had boughten a Scooter Blenny to help clean up the tank. About a week later he died. Right after he died my tank was attacked with ich. Mainly my Porcupine Puffer. I went back to where i bought the Blenny and all of thier tanks were covered in ich. So i found out where it came from. I was informed to use Kick-ICH on my tank to get rid of the ICH, and it's "live sand" safe. Well here i am two weeks later and it hasn't done a thing, and now the ICH is severly worse on my Porcupine Puffer. Nobody else has any ich, just the puffer. I have two puffers and just one of them has ich. The other fish had ich for a day or two and it was gone. He's eating fine, acting fine, etc, just covered in ich. I've talked to a few salt water stores and they all say Kick ICH doesn't work. So what else do i use before my fish dies. All my levels are where they should be, everything is at 0, Ph is 8.2, nitrate is basically 0. I've been reading on websites and have been told by a few stores to buy some Copper Safe, and did the puffer in it for about 5 minutes. I was also told do dip him in fresh water for about 5 minutes. The other thing i was told to do was since i have a fish only tank i could lower the salinity to 1.009. But won't that hurt the live sand? I've heard yes, and i've heard no. Anyone have any ideas as what to do? I was also told to use RID-ICH, it's what the pet shop i bought the blenny from used and it worked really well. I've been feeding my fish garlic soaked foods, as i was told to do, and i've been doing that for about two weeks. Any suggestions?
