i'm in hypo with my tank right now .I preper to have the salinity
@.005 fish are doing fine... if you keep your salt @ .008 or .009
to me thats to close for comfort just in case refractormeter is off by 1 point. I also also put my fish in fresh water for 5min. with the ph same as hypo tank.. and then they went into hypo. i do this everytime i buy a new fish regardless of whether they have ich or not. If they don't have it the hypo will not hurt anyway.

FYI,I also start the 8 week time table after I can no longer see
any spots. which is usually 1 week so total time in hypo about 9 weeks
