Ich Getting Ichier

My Blue Tang and pseudochromis both have ich. I lowered the salinity to 1.09. It looked like it was a little better 2 days ago then yesterday it actually looked worse. The pseudochromis looks better though.
Any ideas
Water parameters and quality all good

You can do hyposalinity in a tank with live rock!! What are your current water readings in that tank?

Temp = 79
Nitrite =0
Ammonia = 0
NitrAte = 20
Sa = 1.10 with refractomer
I used about 25 gals of RO water in a 29 gal tank to get the salinity just to read 1.10
Could it be since I was not able to drop the salinity in the reccomended 48 hours the Ich got used to the salinity?
Day before yesterday he looked like almost all of the Ich eas gone,just a few spots. Now Much more
Beth, I did not remove the live rock or sand. I was more concerned about the fishes well being and no so concerned about the rock. I still see some feather dusters living on the rock

Beth ment that you can NOT do hypo in a tank with LR. Your organisms will all die on the rock. This will cause the ammonia to spike which would make having the rock in there useless. Please remove the rock into a tub ASAP.

I understand about the rock,although so far there has been no ammonia spike.
Does the presence of live rock have anything to do with the fish and their Ich not getting any better?

Hey man, I had a Powder Blue that was so covered in Ick it looked like he had been rolled in sugar! I followed Beths Hypo directions "to the letter" and after several days, the Ick starting coming off of all of my fish. I did'nt know what to expect, since this was the first time I had ever tried this Hypo method, but by gosh it worked perfectly.
Remove your live rock, check your PH and add buffer when needed, and don't overfeed since you are removing a lot of your bacteria colony that is on the live rock. Check your water every day, and make sure to get a good Refractometer to check your sg. DON'T use one of those swing arm things. They are worthless.
Your fish will make it through fine, as long as you follow her directions.
Best of luck man!

Does the coraline algea die in hypo? How about other forms of algea and saltwater plants? I think that one needs to be careful doing hypo with live rock and sand as the worms in the sand can die and cause an amonia spike. I don't know if this is correct. Beth, please tell me what you know about this. Thanks, Lesley

Unfortunately live rock is not the only issue. I also have live sand and had no intention of trying to remove the sand also.
The tank they currently inhabit also has a HOB filter being used along with the live rock and a powerhead.
I might just move all the fish into a empty 20 gal tank,raise the salinity back to 1.24 in the DT and use copper in the QT tank.
I truly don't know which direction to go,but if stress can cause Ich on fish I should be covered in it

My Discus aren't this hard to take care of

Lesley...In my limited exoerience the coraline algae on some live rock I had in a QT tank did die over several weeks in HYPO. I also experimented with some
chaeto that I had weeded ot of my refugium and it has been in hypo for over 4 weeks with no apparent problem. Can't say that was scientifically done. Just a personal observation.
Boat....Consider hypo in the 20 gallon tank instead of copper. It does work well and in my opinion safer.

Thanks,,,,
Do you thimk I should just fill it with water @ 1.09 ,adj the temp and put my HOB on the 20 so there will be some sort of beneficial bacteria ?
Any ideas on why my 2 Chromis & Clown have not gotten Ich?
