Ich Help

Recently I have found ich in my 30 gallon tank. Since I could not get my anemone out of the tank, I am treating the tank in a product called Kick-Ich. So far I have been using the product for about a week and the ich seems to be getting worse. So two fish have died and now I only have two clowns left. Is there something else I can try or is this a good product.

Kick Ich is a waste of money. Hypo also doesn't always work. Copper always does but difficult to keep at theropeutic levels and also kills everything....live sand, live rock...inverts etc. Hypo also does wonders on these critters. Unfortunately Ich is a real problem that does not ahve a 100% cure rate. Agree that the best option is hypo. good luck.

forget about using that stuff. i've tried it over and over in the past and never helped. i've been battling this ich problem since starting the tank, almost a year ago. i've never tried hypo, since catching the fish is a real problem. i've caught them before, but end up killing it within a day, due to the stress of chasing them around.
whats worked for me so far is doing frequent water changes (weekly). I also recently started using uv sterilizer, so i'll know if that helps in a few weeks. I have 2 hippo tang, which are pretty much ich magnets, along with other fish. Both are 3 months old and looks to be improving by the week.
