ICH in my 110 Reef Tank How to Cure

Well.......I thought before I go crazy I would ask all of you what to do for ich in a reef tank. I have the following conditions:
110 Gal.
200lbs LR
4" LS ....mixed fine sand and c. coaral
No3 80ppm
No2 0
ALK 300+
PH 8.3ppm
Sal. 1.022
Temp. 80-81
Both Tangs White Cheek and Hippo have ich. It is impossible to get them into a quarenteen tank due to the LR and the way my tank is set up. I do not want to take the whole tank apart to get the fish out. They are so smart and know when I want to try to trap them. Is there any alternatives for in tank treatments.....Garlic....RXP (not good for my inverts I think) I do have some inverts and corals (Bubble and Cult). Is my tank infested with ich? What actions do you suggest I take to save these fish? I know they are ich prone and was told that in some cases you have to just let it run it's course. Oh....I have two wrasse that make it impossible to have anything like a cleaner shrimp.
Please help..........I want to try to do my best to save these fish.
Thanks,
Mike (NJBLUEFISH)

Where did you get this product? Did everything in your reef tank make it through ok? I think most everybody on this board giving advice says that there is no effective ich cure in reef tanks without taking the fish out and letting it go fishless for a month. I think if your inverts made it through the treatment than this product might be the way to go.

Where did you get it? Does this stuff kill the parasites or just help the fish fight them off?

Just wanted to let you guys know that I read this thread a few days ago when I noticed my sailfin and my powder blue with ich in my reef tank. Hoping that I would be as successful as you I ordered the medication from petsmart too. I just gave the tank the 3rd dose, but today both fish show no signs of ich, and all my inverts are doing fine and good. It seems to be working. Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOO much for the info, it is such a life saver, and very inexspensive. :cheer:

okay.... well it is about a week and a half later. Just an update. I continued the treatment. It seemed really good in the begining. The sailfin still has no sign of ich, BUT my powder blue has it AGAIN, or maybe it never went away. I also lost my dwarf sting ray, I dont know if it is related to this med, but... lost it none the less. However, I can say that all other tank mates are fine, no sign of ich whatsoever. Ive since taken my powder blue out and hospitalized him in a tank with copper, but he is still not doing so hot. The medicine is worth a shot. I thought that I had caught it early. It definately helps more than other stuff out there. GOOD LUCK

I just called the company and they said that it is safe to add to a reef tank. Will not hurt corals, inverts, snails, starfish and any other beneficial bacteria in your tank. So I gave it a shot.....day one. We will see what happens this week. I am leary about the addition of this stuff, but what the heck I am giving it a shot.

The cure of ich is hyposalinity or copper. Please take a look at the post on ich in the FAQ Thread.

Ok, I don't about the "Prevent Ich" that you are referring to, but my lfs gave a bottle of "Ich Attack" that is also mentioned in the link posted above. All my fish are dead now. I followed their iinstructions to the letter. I have a Millenium 3000 filter system, so I opened up the filters and removed the carbon inside to keep the filter system running.
Anyway, it didn't save my fish, but I found out when I talked to someone else at my lfs, that it is the cause of my red "algae" bloom on the ls in my tank. So, I've been running the light less now and doing water changes to try to get rid of that. At least I don't have to worry about overfeeding with al my fish dead. :p This same guy tried to sell me a bottle of stuff to get rid of the red algae, but I ran like the wind. I think I've had enough of chemicals.
Also, if you read my last thread I was in, it looks like my last fish had HLLE, before he died, which I am just learning about. Luckily, I only had damsels so it didn't hurt my wallet as much. On a good note my Curly Q anemone and inverts are fine. I don't have live coral so I can't testify to that.
I would stay away from Ich Attack.

How long has it been since the ich has been gone?
No matter, those so called reef safe medications are not reliable. Might it work, yeah maybe, but the odds are against it.
