i have a couple of questions about ich. 1. How long does it last 2. what is the best treatment fot ich. 3. will it effect live rock.
I have had an ich problem for almost seven days and i am treating it with ich attack by kardon, aqua herbals or something like that, and it started to look like it was working but the last few days my scopas tang looks as bad as it did when we first noticed it was sick. my jewel damsel is also starting to lose color. FAST. and all my fish are rubbing themselves on rocks so hard that you can see the scratches on them. what do i do to cure this ASAP

Welcome to the boards! Ich attack will not work. What you saw was the natural life cycle of the parasite. They drop off to reproduce. What all is in your tank? Do you have corals? Do you have a refractometer?

In my tank i have a snowflake eel, a scopas tang, a juvenille emporor or halfmoon angel, a coral beauty, and a jewell tang. i have some hemit vrabs and other inverts as well as an anenome. i have just recently setup a quarantine tank to treat all the fish with copper.

If you do use copper, the people here usually recommend cupramine.

If you are going to use copper be sure you monitor the copper level twice a day. You have copper sensitive fish in there, the eel, angels, and tangs. Seachem makes the test kit for cupramine.

Right, but he isn't using cupramine. That is why I said to use the test that goes with the copper that he is using.
