My set up is 55gal 60 lbs live sand 75 lbs live rock. Canister filter for 75 gal. Wet dry system rated for 150gal tank filled with new bio balls. My set up has been running for over 3 months. I have been slowly introducing fish. My last fish I put in was a 4 inch powder brown tang. Guess what they all got ich! I have been battling for 2 weeks with hyposalinity. 2 days ago ich has gotten way worse. I fresh water dipped last night and now the fish have MORE ich on them and breathing heavily. My copper band probably wont make it. My fish are a pair of onyx clowns, a yellow tang, a blue hippo tang, scopas tang, powder brown tang, copper band butterfly, klien butterfly, flame angel, siccor tail gobie. I know I'm over stocked and I know my tangs shouldn't be kept in there or together. I just want to know what I should do at this point? Should I raise my salinity and copper treat the tank? That will probably kill most of my fish. I have a 90gal set up with no fish in so I'm using the 55 as qt tank for now. All fish are under 2 inches expect for the brown and the copper band they are both about 4 inches

Hi,
Welcome to the site! Sorry about your situation. Don't ever treat the display tank, the inverts in the live rock will die.
Remove all of your fish to a quarantine/hospital tank, and follow the instructions to do hypo, I think it's posted just above the disease section. Your display needs to remain fishless for 8 weeks to allow the parasite to die without a host.

THANK YOU! My LFS that sold me the brown is going to qt all my fish. Meanwhile I have a new 90 gal in just set up and I'm going to let it run its cycle. I'm also going to get rid of some fish. Thank you for not bashing my set up. I got a pretty good lashing on reef central.

You probably will get a lashing here, too, but not until we have helped you with your problem. Then we will address your stock list, etc. But we do it nicely

Hi,
Yes, what GeriDoc said is true, but we do understand when somebody is new they just didn't know. I have a 90g as well, nice size but not too large, and all my light system that fit the 75g and 55g fit it.
I hope you decide to stay around here!
