Beth or anyone- If you dip infected fish in freshwater for 5 minutes and them place them into normal salinity while leaving the display fishless for 6 weeks, will that do the trick? Fish were already dipped in f/w and are doing fine in normal salinity/clean 55g- Q tank. Quick response w/b appreciated.

Afraid not. That will only cause some parisites to drop off, but not all.
It would be cool to prove that though, since you are using a QT.

Thanks. It's actually a friend who asked and is doing it. I also told him he would have to hypo anyway.
