My friend just set up his new tank and silly him, he put in a naso tang (its a 125) and there are a bunch of snails and mushrooms in his tank, he does not have a QT and can not use cooper or do hypo. What can he use? he has this stuff called stop parasite and ruby reefs product, will either of these work, please let me know asap.

I have had very good success with Stop Parasite but not so much with the Kick Ich. Make sure your friend has an alkalinity test kit though and the alkalinity is where it should be. Have him test the alk level and then post it if you are unsure of where it should be.

Anyone else out there have other opinions. Also lion does stop parasite treat as much water as the kick ich, and how do you treat a tank with stop parasite. Also he has been using melafix for the time being, will it be ok to just add the stop parasite or kick ich which ever one he chooses.

Can he use either one of the products with the melafix that he has been using.

Yes, they can be used in junction, but MelaFix does absolutely nothing for ich. To treat ich with Stop Parasite, it is a teaspoon of the Stop Parasite for every 10 gallons. The treatment should be done for five days at a rate of twice a day (morning and evening).
