Ich.....

Now...I've learned my lesson...QT for me in the future.
I have a 90 gal tank. I had a damsel and watchman goby in there.....I have brissles and copepods....life was great...Saturday we bought a royal gramma and tomato clown....everyone was happy and eating. Yesterday (Monday), we did a 10% water change......all tested find before the water change.....
This a.m. I wake up and the two new fish have ICH.
Please let me know how you think I should treat the tank...and the fish.....my initial thoughts are to raise temp to 82, use rid-ich.
I did have a invert package on order through this site, but....canceled.....I don't want to add anything till this is taken care of.
Any help would be appreciated as I am new at this!!!!!!!!

I would read through the disease and treatment section on the forums. ICH diagnosis and treatment is covered thoroughly in there. You may also want to post in there with any questions so they will see it right away. Good luck!!!

I'd medicate everyfish in a QT and let the tank sit for 2 weeks. Medicating a tank with LR is a pain. Besides the fact that the meds that are effective on ich will kill pods and stars, etc, the rock itself will absorb an unknown amount of the medicine.
Avoid water changes until about a week after getting new fish. Make sure you have the QT completely covered.

You need to do hypo in a QT tank. If you hypo your DT you will kill your LR and pods, and all inverts.

Ugh....I have a 10 gallon tank....not set up for QT.
Can I just take 10 gallons from my main tank for the QT.....
Or how do you suggest I get it set up real quick......
Also....do I take all the fish out.....
Damsel, watchman goby, and the two with the ich and put them in the QT?

Go to the fish store and get a sponge that you would use for a filter. Leave that in your display for a few days to accumulate biological bacteria. After a few days, transfer this to the QT, and then transfer all of the fish over and leave them in hypo for 3 weeks. Leave the display fishless for 6 weeks.
Dave, allowing the display to sit 2 weeks will not do anything. The ich will still be alive in there. The display needs to sit at least 6 weeks, and if you want to play it extra safe, 8 weeks is even better.
