Hello last night i had 2 fish with ick. Last night my eel ate one of them. Now my royal gramma has no white spots and it not rubbing himself on the rocks anymore? Is this possible?
Ick has cured itself!?

Yes it is possible. The natural history of the disease is for trophonts (spots) to develop to a certain size and then fall off your fish. They are often at their largest when you notice the disease. They fall off to reproduce in the substrate of your tank. Within a few weeks, there may be many more spots on your fish.
Well, saying it was "cured" would be a real mistake. The lifecycle of ich is such that the parasite may seem to be cured, as elfdoctor describes, when in fact, it will only reappear several days later. Rarely does ich just disappear from the aquarium once present, unless fish are adequately treated.

I did nothing to the tank i removed no fish and it hasn't come back. There was Definetly white spots on my clown and my Gramma. The clown was eaten but the gramma is perfectly fine with no signs of illness. It also stopped rubbing on the rocks.....

I have had similar expirience. I saw a post that says if the immune system is healthy on your fish it can fight it off on its own. Do you feed with garlic? Maybe the fish saw the one with ich get eaten so he decided that if he cured himself he wouldnt get eaten. Good luck. Lawrence
