Ick on rocks?

I turned a piece of rock over and moved stuff around and i see a while bunch of little white half spiral thingies.. they look like the tops of ice cream cones but only about a millimeter wide. is that something i should worry about? I just took a fish out because he looked like he had ick.

Does not sound like anything you should worry about. I used to have them on my rocks.
Ich is much too tiny to see on live rock and in sand.
If you took one fish out because he had ich, are you going to take them all out and treat them?

i have little spiral crustations lookin things on the sides of my tank for at least 5 months and no ick

Thanks guys...theres a weight off my shoulders.
I was not planning on treating them all. I don't have a QT and past expierence has shown me that it's really hard to effectivley treat 55 gallons without throwing everything else off. So I think i am going just keep an eye them for now. Also, it's so hard to catch them.
This was my Spotted Damsel and I think i Stressed him by leaving the lights on for too long too many days. Then he just stayed white for days, then one morning he was kinda spotty, so out he went.

I agree. If you had ich in the display then you will need to treat your remaining fish.

How does ick go from fish to fish?? Is it in the water or is it contact?

Ich hosts a fish, drops off and reproduces in the sand bed. The new "babies" are eager to host. They swim up then host again. Once ich is in the system it remains there. It is easily removed by either performing hyposalinity (no LR, inverts, stars, etc. can be present) or by leaving the systm fishless for 6 weeks.

But you do know that it is not visible right??
The person said that they turned over a piece of rock & saw some white spirals.
This doesn't sound like Ick...

The white spirals are not ich, but he said:

The white spots on the underside of the rocks??
