I have now finaly almost defeted ick in my 10 gal QT. I have had copper in the tank for 5 weeks now with my infected spotted Boxfish and Tomato clown. I am also keeping my Snowflake eel in there just incase he is also infected.
here is a pic of the QT tank from a couple of weeks ago.

My Boxfish is the only one with ick still visible on him. I dont have a recent pic of him though. The only ick that i can tell of left on him is on his left fin. Here is a older pic of him. I think the white by his spotts is natural but there were signs of ick on some of his fins along with my tomato clown.

Five weeks and still signs of ick? Are you doing hypo with a refractometer and setting the salinity level to 14ppt?
Ick should be gone by now if you are doing hypo in the tank.

Stop using copper and start doing hyposalinity. After 5 wks, if you had been doing the copper correctly, then the fish would have been clear. What test kit for copper are you using? Is it compatible with your copper product? Eels just don't fare well with copper.

Nice QT, though. I'm so glad to see so many hobbyists now setting up QTs. No one did this 4 yrs ago when I first came to this BB. It really is great! :D

I have been using SEAcure copper and testing the levels with a fastest kit. I know it should have beeen better by now but now that i have done everything i really dont want to have to go out and buy a refractometer after all of this work.:jumping:

By the way my eel has really had no signs of stress. EXCEPT for jumping out of the tank and going into my closet over night twice

Ich should have been clear by now if the copper was being dosed adequately. They have been in copper too long. How do you know that test kit is compatible with your copper?

Hiddenicon, in a tank with anemones or any inverts, live rock, coral, you must QT fish, and then treat them with hyposalinity. Please look at the BASIC FAQ Thread at the top of this forum for info on QT and Hyposalinity.
