ID almost looks like a RIC

i have this thing in my tank next to my candycane/trumpet corals it has a vary large stem body about 1-1/2" and the top looks like a mushroom but if i look closely it has many circles like a ric does anyone know what it is ?

looks like a purple ric. yuma..wat ever it is, it looks sweet..how come i don't hitchikers like that..all i get are aiptasias..
