ID help, no pic avail.

On a peice a LR I have a little bug that looks like a smashed rollie pollie. It is about a quater inch long and an 1/8 inch wide. Its color is matches the red coraline algae exactly. I almost couldnt tell it was alive, it moves extremely slow. It may also be eating the coraline algae. Any idea as to what it is?
