Looks like an out of control toadstool
You can cut alot of it off and sell to a LFS, no need to get rid of it, just alot of it and you will make money also.

its still a long tentical toadstool beleive it or not. some of them do get HUGE like this one has gotten and as it gets larger the bases can shrink causeing to look more like a mushroom or a different type of leather others get HUGE bases to support the massive head of them.

I have the same leather. Mine is also huge. I'm ready to frag some of it. How much of it can I cut off at a time?

A lot, I cut one down to the very bottom because it appeared dead and I wanted the rock, I took no precautions at all, just chopped away with a knife out of the water and now I have six. Guess the toadstool won that battle.
