ID needed, long branching white thing from LR

Hey there. I was wondering what the heck this is as I've never seen it before. It doesn't look harmful. Is it some sort of worm?!

Hmmm, it looks like a pencil sponge to me...how long did it take to grow like that?

it seems like only a few weeks. It survived a cycle and a few hours out of water! It does kinda look like a sponge though.

if you dont like the way it looks move it to your sump if you have one or heck if you dont have one sell it or give it to me lol
