id nudi, is it safe for reef.

Cant say for sure about that one but most of the ones with many frilly extended tenticals (cerata) are coral eaters or eat something to get the toxins (nematocysts) from that they use for defense ( keep from getting ate themselfs) IMO take it out.

its bad..those type will feed on soft coral. look in hitchhicker identification inthe reef forum.

on page 3(i think) there is people showing pictures of those nudis chowing on their colts and such. i had one that killed my zoas in my old tank.

Even though you flushed him, you need to be on the watchout for more. They can lay eggs and you may have more!!! One adult nudi can lay a bunch of eggs and make over a 100 baby nudis!!! Just look out for them especially on your corals. If it's a zoo eating nudi, watch your zoos, if you see them closed up more then usual. You should really check on them closely. If it comes down to it, you may have to take the zoos out and do a iodine & freshwater dip to rid the pests. Do a search on that, there's a good thread on how to. You also need to place the zoo back in high flow and low lighting, preferably actinics only for the rest of the day after dip, then back to normal light schedule the next day. Good Luck! :happyfish
