ID on this one...

Just wanted to do it for the fun of it. Anyone have a clue on the dark crawly thing in the picture? Besides a coral topler when he moves.

I cant see it to clear but if I had to guess I would say either a feather star, or a crinoid (sp)

Feather stars are crinoids.....I agree with the clarity of the pic...You said "just for fun" so do you know what it is, or are you actually going for an ID? If you really need an ID......a flash pic would help probably.

sorry the pic was crappy. Yes i know what it is I have two of them. I had alot of people ask about them from seeing them in the pics I have posted before.

I have never seen one in action, do they move very quickly or are they a creature that moves, but you never witness it and it is in a different spot everytime you come back and look at your tank?

It is a feather star fish, I had one at one time, have not seen ours in months though. Lisa
