ID Please ......growing on live rock

Its starting to flower. it was just a stem..new to this what could it be? polyp? Tank has been cycling for 4 weeks.. added some crab, snails and cleaner shrimp over the weekend and feed the shrimp some marine snow and now this thing is blossoming...could it be a poylp that made it threw the cycle?

It's probably an aptasia or majano...pest anemone....you want it gone
You can inject it with boiling water to get rid of it
Although....do you have a better pic just to be 100% sure

search for aiptasia or for rock anemone, and had one of those and i removed it.

how do i remove it? And why do I want to, what will it do? Can i just pick it off?

I looked up aptasia and majano and it doesn't look like either.

I saw that same thing eat a mysis shrimp when i was feeding my sun coral and it was pretty weird to se that little thing eating a whole shrimp. So I removed it because i dont know for sure if it was aiptasia (harmful to fish) or what, so i went for the safe side, i killed it

Yes it looks like that one of the small poylps..except its smaller and the tenicles aren't that long.

It deffinatly doesn't look like that!

Those look like rock flower anemone. Epicystis crucifer
