ID Please? Hitchhiker

Hello all, here is a photo of an anemone that grew onto some dead rock I was soaking for 6 months. Looks like apt but it has not spread. Not sure.

It looks like Aiptasia.

Not spread yet, but it will if you don't address it now. I would also look for others to pop up on that rock.

Been there. Wen that route about 10 years ago on my last tank. Ended up using calcium paste to kill them off. Didnt take long, burnt the hell out of them.

That particular species of Aiptasia is not noted for spreading rapidly. But it is known to grow quite large. Big enough to eat a fish.

Well I squirt some calsium paste on it yesterday and it now be gone......
