Hello i was just looking at my tank and i saw 2 tubes. One is black and the other is white. The wite was was looking around and you could see an opening at the end if it. It stuck it's..head.. in the sand and you could see peices of sand moving up the inside of it. When the sand reached the top where it was connected to the rock it was spit out. The black on was just looking aroudn then went back inside the rock. They are very small no thicker than a sewing needle.

I might have the same thing in my tank. I actually asked my lfs about it today but they didnt know either. I have a white tube comming up from the sand and when the lights are of I use my trusty flash light and I see 2feelers?2arms?2 somethings. They suck back in when the light is shined on it. Never seen anything black. Does this sound the same?

Yep pretty much i can see right through them and seen sand being brought right up the tube. and the spit out
