Hi Guys,
I noticed a worm like creature extending itself out of a crack in my LR, It appeared to be a bristle worm, Green with a white outline. I noticed as it sensed movement by a fish it would extend itself and " spit or spray " about 4-6 streams of what looked like smoke in the water. I was afraid it was going to kill something so I took my needle and was able to cut about 1/4 inch of it's head off. The head continued to move even after being seperated from the rest of it.....
Any Ideas ?
I was sure after I killed the thing, If it is truly dead..I thought I could have killed an extremely rare creature...That's the cool thing about a Reef Tank, there is no telling what you may see.
My 11 yr old daughter got a real kick out of it spitting at my finger.

sessile snail, possibly. It's in the same classification as feather dusters. Non-harmful. However it smits more of a spiderweb than smoke.

I looked that snail up and that's not it. Was definately in the same sort of shape as a Bristleworm. Do bristleworms have the ability to spay something ?
