ID Please - strange mushroom

Hi,
Any idea what this is? I picked it up around 3-4 months ago for under ten dollars and it has more than doubled in size and has little spawns under it on the rock that are new. The diameter is roughly 3 inches when open.

Why do the ones I see searching look like an umbrella and this one look more like a cup or bowl?

Thanks for the help. He is only partially "open" in the picture, and is typically flat across. If I put my hands in the water close to it it will close up and looks more like a tulip before opening.
There are some "mini" versions of this on the rock under the umbrella- maybe 4-5mm in diameter. Would it be safe to try and move them off and relocate?
