ID please

I was cleaning my pump for my bakpak and this was on the button and backside of it. Its hard and bumpy to touch. Anyone know what it is?

thanks for the reply. I was suprised to see how much stuff was on my pump. When I poped off the top it was full of little bugs and stuff crawling around.

opps it got washed away then. I tried to knock off as much stuff as I could but it was covered with those pods and whatever other little thngs.

Here is a close-up of one of those pods. They are good to have in your tank, helps with the clean-up. About the spiro worms I have a ton of them in my tank. They catch small things floating in the water with a retractable web looking line.
