They are finally big enough for a pic, but hard to get since they are in the 2.5 nano. At first I though keyhole limpets but maybe astreas? I do have 2 astreas in the tank.

I cant say yes or no on either, but I just found a snail attached to my carbon filter and it was no bigger than what your pic came up as. I looked close and indeed saw a definate hole ontop the shell. Not sure if it was a keyhole, but didnt take the chance. Yours looks more pyramid shape, right?

Yes they are pyamid shape. They really do look like the astreas but, I've seen quite a few pics from others and think they are probably keyholes. I guess I'll take one out and look at it with my reading glasses...aahhh I mean magnifying glass.

Those are true Limpets.
If they are a problem I appologize, I believe you may have received them from me as hitchhikers.
They just graze on algae, completely harmless. They;'ll also keep your plumbing clean.

Oh man! they are a HUGE, HUGE problem. I think you better send me some more stuff... when the weather is better of course:D
There are a lot of them for a 2.5. Think I should relocate some to the 135? By the way, do the orange shrooms look familiar?

I always like those flourescent Orange Shrooms. Yours look healthier than mine
To relocate them don't try pulling them off the wall.
If you have any PVC plumbing in your system you'll probably find some in it. Just swap out a section of plumbing.
Or, find a rock with a few on it.

There is no plumbing. Did I mention the tank is only 2 1/2 gal? I've only got a little mini penguin on it. I've got 2 astreas in there and I'm probably going to starve somebody out if I don't figure out a relo program. Needless to say I never have to clean the glass.
Those shrooms love it in there. I took the big one you sent me out and put it in the 135 gal. There are only 2 rocks in there so maybe I'll take one out with most of the shrooms and switch it for one in the big tank.
