It's really not that similar to the one I got last week. (That link is to a post I made for an ID request last week.) The tentacles on mine are much shorter and a little wider. Also, mine was probably dyed at some point; yours has a much more natural color. I agree with the others that yours seems to be a LTA, but I'm still not sure whether mine is really a LTA or if it might be a BTA. Either way, yours looks nice and healthy, and mine seems to be getting better too.

Now that one looks more like the purple tip Macrodactyla doreensis LTA than the one that Joe posted.
BTW - Joe I hope that yours is doing well, keep us posted in the other thread as a few months go by or if something happens to it.
What lighting is he under bergamer?

coralife 48" PC 4x 65 10k bulbs
I have had him about 7-8 months
he has only eaten 1 time
looking at teh other threads about purple longe tentancle anenomes
I just want to add, bc I am a little unsure, that the base of mine is white (the stump) otherwise everything else is purple

also, my OC clowns will not touch the anenome
2 of the clowns host my huge flower pot
and the 3rd likes to hover over some frog spawn, but never entering it:rolleyes: wish they would take a liking to the anenome
