I have a weird growth on a zoo rock that I bought

Looks like a type of sponge, I have them, but under the rocks not on top if it's the same thing.

so it won't be a big deal if i pull it off my rock huh???

No, but it will prolly grow back.

If you don't want the sponge on there you can pull the rock out of the water for a couple of minuets and let some air get to the sponge to kill it. The zoos will be fine out of the water for that short of time.
