I found this behind my LR today. It looks like a sponge, has several large holes in it and is jet black. Anyone have any idea what it is? I would need to break down a large section of the reef to get to it, so... I was wondering if I should leave it or error on the side of caution and take it out. If someone knows what it is and if its ok to keep or not, I would be thankful.

I just found another this morning.
Do they grow fast, and are they really spongy. I grabed one and it tore very easly, seemed like a hollow sponge.
Here is a pic of the new one from today. It's in the center of my Star ployps. The lights had just come on and the polyps were just starting to open.
