found this guy in my reef tank. wondering if I should keep him or throw him into the ocean? about 1/4 in size.

I dont like any crabs in my reef just to be safe so i'd toss him. But DEFINITELY not in the ocean!

if your not sure if its reaf safe or not just get rid of him

Once hes been in your tank, who knows what hes picked up from any other animal or lr in the tank. Putting it back in the ocean can release these organisms/bacteria where they dont belong and can do harm

thanks guys, the thing is I grab all my water, live rock, and hermits and snails..ect, right off the reef. Liveing in the middle of the pacific surrounded by coral reef has benefits such as these.

I' d be more worried about the ocean contaminating my tank ,than my tank contaminating the ocean
