So, I just turned on my light in my room and saw this thing swim by really fast... it looks like a worm... its brown in color, long and skinny... prolly about 2-3 inches long.... it went and burried itself in the sand. What the heck is it??? its kinda gross looking. it almost looked like a smaller, skinnier earth worm.

Sounds like Eunclid (sp) worm. They can be a real nuisance. Hopefully someone on here can give you some advise on how to catch it without tearing your tank down.
I think they have traps specifically designed to catch them.

Eunicld usually look more like centipedes I thought

I don't know, but this was pretty gross looking to me.... any ideas on how to get it out,especially if it is the euclid worm, cuz that can grow at least 6 feet in length.

so are these things as easy to catch as a 1-2-3... when its seen, just stick the net in and catch it, or is there more to it?
