Appy and a mushroom without light for awhile. Mine look just like that when I pruned back the caulerpa in my tank.

Yeah. Some kalkwasser paste or lemon juice works well for me. If you have lemon juice inject a couple drops near the base of the stalk. Kalkwasser (pickling lime) may be made into a paste and applied directly to the mouth. After it recoils apply paste to it's hole.

Not only will they grow back they will MULTIPLY! They reproduce by every means known to man and if threatened they will do just that.

the shrooms are good though if you got the lighting fyi.
there are always ways to get rid of aiptasia without doing the dirty work, like a butterfly or something.

I always advise against adding livestock to correct a problem. BTW, a butterfly eats more than aiptasia, so keep this in mind when it starts nipping at other corals.

yeah me too, alot of people get peppermints to take care of it but most of the time they just piss off the aptasia so it multiplies.
