Please id this hitchhiker. It spews out a silky spider web looking substance, then ropes it in with two claw looking extremeties. Pretty cool actually..

I can't see the critter in the picture well enough to ID.
The description sounds exactly like a Vermetid Snail.

nope. there is a very think silky web coming out of it, I watched it attach to my colt coral and try to literally hoist it in until it eventually broke.
