It could be the beginnings of hair algae. My mom had it on her glass like that for a long time and on the back wall of a tank too. have you tried cleaning off the glass and seeing how easily it will remove?

It comes off pretty easy Im going to do a water change and stuck it out, and then point my flow at that wall and see what happens..

It definitely couldn't hurt anything. That is for sure.
upon looking at the pictures closer, is this a picture of your sump? Is that were this algae is at?
