I am flattered by the above statement, but my system is not the sterile environment you believe it is.
I am dealing with a couple of issues that are being addressed as we speak.
Your Catalaphyllia looks pissy, could be from the move. I would watch it. The two I have continue to thrive and take over the sides of the tanks they are on.
What color are the tips?
As for the basics of caring for this animal it should be known that In the aquarium, strong currents are not appreciated by the C. jardenei, but some water movement is required. It also requires medium to strong light. Direct metal halides will burn the tissue, but diffused moderate light is appreciated. They can be fed occasionally. Foods in smaller proportions will be eaten greedily and will sustain the coral. Larger pieces will be accepted by the coral, but will later be regurgitated.

of all the pictures on the web I cant seem to find and elegance that looks like mine.... maybe because the tentacles are not long and coming out like they should. the tips are defiantly a brighter color but they are so small I cant tell what. I think a yellow or maybe the same green as the fleshy part is. I also can't seem to find anything else that it could be. And I did have it at the top of the tank in direct light and flow for a like a week or two. So I probably half baked the poor thing and really pissed it off. My re-aranging clown fish knocked it down to the sand so I just turned it upright and left it there to take some pics and post on here. Good thing they did or it would have been more cooked.

Why did you have it placed on a rock?
These animals like to be on the bottom in the substrate. What lights are you currenrly running?

It was glued to a small flat rock when i bought it. And I am sure I will damage it by trying to take it off of it. And I have a 250w MH blue/white LED moon lights and 2 18" blue LED strips on a 56g Square tank.

I would give it some time, but if it doesn't open up more then you may want to tilt it forward. This might give it a more natural placement.

depending on the size of the rock it is glued to, you can take a screw driver and GENTLY pry it off. I would see if you could chizzle it off as to not harm the corals skeleton. JMO

I find super glue to be rather brittle after being in saltwater a while. Depending on how much was used you probably put on some unpowdered latex gloves, grab the coral at the base of the skeleton and grab the rock and break it off with no harm done. I have done this with SPS coral many times.

Why even bother? It's already happy where it is at - messing with it further and detaching it from the rock it is on may damage it. Why not just leave it on there?

I should have read these before i took it off..... But I just poped it right off. It wasn't very stuck on there at all.

theres a hole in the bottom of it? and threre's no left over parts still attached to the rock. The bottom is a lot softer than the rest of it. Its not rock hard like the sides are.

Side view, kinda looks like someone sawed into it.

Most likely it was sawed off - that's how it was harvested and fragged.
So, now what are you going to do with it? glue it to something?

It seems to be doing better, it's little tentacles are a little longer now.But it seems to open up more at night when the lights are off.
