This has continued to grow on a piece of live rock i bought. I have noticed numerous small ones on other rocks around the tank. Is this something to worry about, or should i just enjoy the view

Aiptasia!! Or at least I think. Not really good. They can get out of hand. A peppermint shrimp will usually make quick work of them.

I agree, it looks like aiptasia.
The best biological way to rid the tank of aiptasia is to have pepperment shrimp present in the aquarium. Unfortunatly, it's up to the shrimp if they'll make a snack of them or not. Another way to get rid of them would either be to enject them with Calcium Hydroxide paste (otherwise known as kalkwasser or Limewater) or bioling water. Chances are you won't get them all and the ones you miss will multiply to mass numbers. Pepperment shrimp should be the first thing to buy.
