id please

I posted a pic of this about 6 months ago. It was only about 1/2" at the time. It is the long growing (coral?) at the right.
It is now touching the top of the water.
I asked for a id back then but forgot what it was, sorry
I am posting two pics. The first is without flash.
As you can tell it has and is growing fast.
I am moving it to my new tank and wonder how so I need more info, thanks

Does it appear to be calcium carbonate based? Does it have any polyps?
My guess would be a sponge. But be carful and make sure that it doesn't grow 3' out of the tank

The closest thing I found was a sea whip (muricea muricata) but really not sure?
