not sure what you mean... it doesnt have holes or anything like that. looks sorta like half a size of a rice grain. its basically EVERYWHERE.... even on some of my hermits and snails shells.

I have a bunch of those too. I even have one on my emerald crab. I don't know what they are but they don't seem to be hurting anything so I leave them alone.
not sure how i accumulate so much nutrients. i have an over size euroreef skimmer, that skims 24/7. it doesnt really skim much... its been 3 weeks and my collection is not even half full. i do have my riser almost fully up.
DOn't think they are q-tip sponges. I have Q-tips all over my overflow box and in my sump. I have these same things on my rock and do not know what they are but they are definately not sponges.

I cant tell from the picture, but after taking a look at them again. some has very tiny holes. not only one, but a bunch of tiny holes on each of those. so i guess you know what they are? by the way, you got good eyes

I got those too! there mostly in my overflow and sump. the rice looking thing from my picture is definitely NOT, q-tips.
