Hi, Iam really new to this wonderful world, with amazing disvoveries every day. Seen some incredible contibuters that decided to join. From the forum reading I am doing the last days I think I Managed to identify some of mine hitchhikers. Like a Bristtle starfish. But today I found an intriguing white "snail look a like" that moves incredibly fast and that I will really need your help to identify and decide to keep or not. Here the pic. I think the polyp is a Zoa if it can be identified will also be of assistance. Tks waiting your advise.

I think you're not getting any attempts at ID due to the fuzziness/lack of detail in your photo.

Does this critter have a shell?

My first thought would be a Stomatella, but I've never seen a white specimen before. Look for a small fingernail-shaped shell just behind the critter's head.

it really has a shell. And really looks like a white Stomatella here pics to confirm.

and the thing I think is a Zoa in better look.

In the first one you can even see is eyes.

Yeppers...looks like a "stomie"...great critters. The polyp does indeed appear to be a zooanthid.

about the zoa. Do you think it will get any specific color or will remain that transparent . He should be 3 weeks old only.

Once it's been exposed to light for awhile, it may color-up, assuming it can eventually take in some zooxanthaellae, or it may just shrink away.
