This picture was taken of this critter on my LR. It kind of looks like a cterpillar. Any suggestions on what it was?

Looks like a bristle worm. They are benifitial now but when they get bigger they can do some damage. I suggest doing a search for them, and as hard is it might seem, catch it. Usully they only come out at night, so there actually might be more then one.

Yup bristle worm, I would not remove it they are benfical and add diversiy to the sand bed.
