I saw this critter on the glass the other day, roughly 1" above the sand.
Whitish in color, with a darker center in the thicker portion of its body.
Total body length ~1/4".
It was stuck to the glass at it's thicker section, its body swaying in the current.
The tentacles were splayed flat against the glass; could not tell if the tentacles
were deliberately moving, or reacting to the current.
It's tentacles were very thin, 12+ of them, not consistent length.
I *think* I saw it use it's tentacles as locomotion, moving to the side a bit.
After half a minute or so of observation, it abruptly released from the glass,
retracted it's tentacles, curled into a ball and fell to the sand, where it became
unseen.
Ideas?
