ID required for superglue purchase

For the second time in a row at two different Walmarts I got carded when buying superglue. Even if buying just one little four gram bottle you must be 18 now... I'm only 26 and am familiar with huffing (not first-hand), but I bet pretty soon we'll be required to show ID with candy purchases...
Has this happened with anyone else? When I buy at Home Depot I don't get asked for ID...
The second time was at a self checkout and the register started beeping after scanning the first tube in, indicating on the screen I needed ID...
I found this funny, but the nice Indian woman helping me didn't laugh when I jokingly said I had problems getting it into my nose without it sealing it shut...
Anyway back to sniffing

Its getting a little nuts. I guess some stores are trying to make a small dent.
Try going into a 24 hour store with a major head cold and trying to find someone to get the decongestant for you.
You can't buy it after certain hours. I know all about the meth lab problems and the "runners" they have getting this stuff.
But really.......
I will have to see about the superglue thing.

Walmart blows! If I buy beer, I get carded(I'm 52!),then the underage cashier can't ring it up without mgt approval, which takes forever because the boss is at the other end of the building.

Yeah, it's mainly just Wal-Mart that is so anal. Most stores aren't. Moral of the story...don't buy from Wal-Mart...it's not like they need the business or anything. :) :D

i'm not pro- wal-mart, but in their defense, a company that large is a major target for people trying to make a quick buck. i agree that some of their policies are ridiculous, but they're just covering their own hides.

I totally agree, gregvabch. And even though their policies are annoying, they are the law. And you're exactly right...they're a large company and have to take extreme measures to protect their assets. So I completely understand why they're so anal...it's almost admirable. I'm just saying if someone doesn't like it, then they shouldn't buy from them. :)

Wait wait, you can huff superglue?! LOL, that's news to me. I swear, people can get high off of anything if they try hard enough.

yup. the thing is, they started out small just like everyone else, they just made it big. i think it's funny when people are always so against wal-mart because they're "taking over the world". they're a perfect example of the capitalist society we live in. anyways, i'm getting off topic :D

Apparently the kids have switched to superglue because gas has gotten so expensive. Did I just reveal my age???

I honestly pay about $10 per ounce of superglue ($6 for .7 ounce tube) and that is the best price I've found online... I realize alot of substances cost that much but they're illegal and the high cost is for the risk in trafficking them to the US... luckily it goes a long way (functioning as coral glue... not as a huff)
