Its hard to tell from the picture, but I would guess it is a majano anemone. Is that the only one or is there more of them?

The only one....i had a bunch of aips anemones but the peppermint shrimp gobbled'em up...

Where is it located? It may be some kind of baby coral; it kind of reminds me of a small stump of xenia.

He's chilling out in the open on the live rock, in a crack....pretty much in the center of my tank

It really might be a coral!
The more I look at it, it does not look like anything harmful.
Keep watching it and if it grows or changes in some way post another picture for us.

YAY good news! I am still looking for a pic of majano to compare it with.....

I mean I think it would make sense because I have only had my tank since Jan and all the parameters and everything are all now stablizing and everything seems to be falling in place, so maybe?
