Idea for chaeto house

Ok so i have a 29 gallon tank and i was thinking about houseing some chaeto algea in my hob filters but i cant figure out how to get a light on it......so i was brain storming and came up with this.....i found a 6 gallon tank which is pricead pretty good and i was thinking of houseing some chaeto algea in it but i was wanting to get some advice froms the EXPERTS so what do you think ill post a link that has a pic i dont think this is breaking the rules....but plzzzz help on ideas of getting the water from my Dt to the chaeto house and from the chaeto house back to the DT......here is the pic http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3635550

I have seen some diy on hob filters to house chaeto, and then add a compact palm light. (google).

MAcGuyver style ...
drille some holes in the top of that tank. or cut about 1/2" to 1" on one side.
Clamp the lil tank inside your DT just higher than your water level.
Run tube from Power head or something like a lil rio into the chaeto tank( either up and over kinda thing or srill a hole for the tube.
Best would be to buy a drilled tank. ( i have had MacGuyvered riggs before liek this not usually worth it.
Good luck, hope you get some other ideas.( that tank is expensive) found some non tempered 10G that drill nice and easy at *****. the 5 they have is not tempered either was able to drill it.

I thought this was a good price considering it comes wit lighting for chaeto and filtration...also i was gunna use this tp put live sand in it...i have all playsand in my DT its probably live now but i thought this would look pretty good setting next to my DT but im not sure how to transfer the water frompoint a to point b and i do not want to drill....any ideas ?
